With live guests inclding activists, candidates and MP's, she questions the policies that may shape the way we are governed for the future. Siobhan is a former presenter of the Raiders 2 Country Rockshow from 02-04, and clearly enjoys live guest participation! now she concentrates in promoting the very best in World Music ranging from many of the popular Cultures across the musical world. Siobhan returns to Raiders 2 August 4th from 8pm till 9pm with a huge selection of World Music! |

One of the founder members of Raiders FM back in our swashbuckling days, Jan pioneered radio shows dedicated to rare rock grooves from the past right up to new bands of the day that were infuenced by greats such as T Rex, The Who and many others. He also interviewed some of those late 80's artists like Transvision Vamp, The Telescopes, Outskirts of Infinity and Danielle Dax (check out Howard Peters' great website tribute to Raiders FM). As a music historian, record dealer and collector his rock family tree approach to presenting shows is relevant to the roots of today's rock scene. His informative, witty style always puts the music first, and keeps you up to date on current values of vinyl and CD's at record fairs and auctions. Listen out for Jan's Rock Dimensions shows with occasional guest Claire Mansfield. Not quite the 21st Century Boy, but certainly different. You can hear Jan on the Second and Third Wed of each month. Maddie features interviews, band profiles, news and views, gossip and who’s doing who, what, why, where and when! Madalyn is an actress and author as well as a radio presenter. Newsraid presenters have included Adeshow and Chris Mitchell. Now in its 6th year, Newsraid spotlights local current affairs and controversial issues, and hosts debates with national political figures and campaigners from across the political spectrum. Additionally there's the editoral email service which is on-going, gathering information to and from the politial parties and our presenters. Newsraid is currently being presented by Siobhan Vitelli. Paul Simon: Raiders 2 Swing Jock |
|
Paul Simon and his brother Robin began their careers in music forming bands in their home town of Halifax, Yorkshire. One such band included Billy Currie, later to join Robin in Ultravox. They were then asked to join Limmie Snell [Limmie and the Family Cookin'] in Limmie Funk Limited, which toured the UK. In 1976 Paul found himself in London at the heart of the punk scene around The Roxy Club and The Vortex and played with bands like Neo, Cowboys International via Girls At Our Best and The Fallout Club featuring Thomas Dolby, while Robin joined Ultravox and Magazine. As the 80's progressed Paul worked in production with frequent Paul McCartney and George Martin collaborator Fiachra Trench and producer Tony Lowe (Petshop Boys, Julian Lennon). By the early 90's Paul had joined long-time friend Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) in The Mavericks, which became The Philistines. His new band, Ajanta Music, evolved from an experimental touring-only line-up, and as the millennium dawned they arrived on Ibiza. The influence of the musical fusion and chill-out scenes in the north of the island filtered through their previous musical experience and crystallised into Ajanta Music. Chris who started pesenting shows on Raiders 1 moved to Raiders 2, where he promoted soul as well as rock classics. He teamed up with Jez B early in '08 to bring you a new show based on a mixture of new and classic pop with humourous chat. Chris will be back in mid 2010. |

Former Pizza Hut waitress, meeja darling, pirate radio manager, web mistress, pantheist, Londoner and entrepreneur, Claire's back on Raiders Broadcast to share the very best in Glam, Punk, New Wave, New Romantic, Heavy Metal and melodic rock and pop. Claire is currently residing in the USA and commutes between Nations. She also controls Raiders 2 broadcast every Wednesday from 7-10pm with star artists and well informed rock presenters.
